Anyone like Highboys? I'd like to build one like Gray Baskerville's except with Ford power, of course. This one by Roy Brizio is pretty cool, too: ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

Some of the great cartoons by Tom Medley pictured classic rods. My most unforgettable rod pic was a 32 3 window highboy, black, unchopped, featured in a very early Hot Rod. Even remember the owner's name Fran Hernandez. featured a 59A flathead and other goodies, probably a 39 Ford trans. The guy that I sold my GT to lived in Hinsdale, Ill. where I did. One day, on a dare, he drove his 34 Ford Highboy on the brick street in front of Police Station, dumped the clutch and laid a streak all the way up the street- when the tire stopped dancing! Next day, the rear end took a sh*t! Another classic rod is the California Kid 34 from American Grafitti. I like classic flames on a black rod! That is the best IMNSHO! Lil' John Butera built some nifties, also. Think his and Brizio rods were built in the Bay Area.

Well, actually the California Kid '34 was from the TV movie "The California Kid" built by either Pete or Jake of Pete and Jake's in California. It was on the cover of Rod and Custom in the early 80's (I think). Martin Sheen drove the car in the movie.Tracy ------------------ Tracy M&M #245 MAC OS9 1956 F-100 Panel w/429 (3.50 9") 1966 F-100 SWB w/351C (3.25 9" - 3.70 posi for Saturday nights) Music City F-100's, 1965 GT-350 S/C (2.78 1st & 3.70 TracLok 9") Music City Mustang Club Don't focus on the destination....make the JOURNEY the adventure Visit my Web site: DidgeyTrucker's Website
