Everything costs too much! Life is an expensive thing. Most people have a $30k SUV and no hot rod. Why not have a $5k SUV and a $25k hot rod? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

You know, growing up I always longed for the day when I'd have enough money to buy brand new cars. Once I finally started earning decent money I bought new vehicles. I've bought two new trucks and two new cars. Big deal. Today, unless it was a specialty vehicle like a Lightning or a Mach 1, I wouldn't bother. For a commuter car, I'll take a car with a few years scrubbed off it. {and a whole lot of depreciation shaved off}New cars are overrated. The only problem is I've converted my wife the other way. Before me, she only knew used cars. Now trying to get her into a used car is like trying to talk her into buying used underwear. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

I agree 100% with you Steve.I must say my wifes new car is real sweet to drive. But,If it was'nt for her wanting the car,I'd never have bought it. I drive and I'm real happy with my 1994 F150 and my 65 Mustang.I told her the next car we get will be an old P/U or an older Bronco. So she can always have her fun new or by then newwer car. If was my choice only I'd have a 60's Ford P/U,a 50's Ford car like a 54-56 vic and a 65 mustang.ANd maybe a Mav for my son,and a late 60's Bronco for my daughter.AND A............... SCOOP

Because it's trendy to have a newer overpriced station wagon. That's all they are, a big poor gas mileage gettin, view blockin at the intersection, cant get out of your way on the interstate, station wagon designed to haul around a whole slug of kids, but most people that have them, dont have any kids. So, that makes them a trendy item to have. Personally, I think they should make the people that own them get a specialized drivers license to prove they can hadle driving something that big. A lot of the people that own them (not all) are not skilled enpough to drive an escort safely let alone something that weighs almost 3 tons.

I like this. I have a 39 ford coupe, a 55 ford truck, a 70 mav and a customized 92 flareside truck. the 39 and 55 will stay in the back of the garage for awhile. the 92 is almost finished and the 70 mav is in progress. I do have a 4.6 dohc for the 39, and I'm putting a 2000 lightning motor in the 92. I love custom more than anything else in autos.

I just sent some pics of our 32 Deuce coupe to Steve. It is Ford powered.I also have a 29 Ford on 32 Rails that I am building. It might get the motor (351C)out of the Falcon in it with the C-4. That's "IF" I can find the rest of the parts for the Clutch-C-6 I have to put in the Falcon. Rick
