Original 1965 Mustang Convertable pedal car that is. Found it at a local auction and it's in good shape. Plus the price was right. Always wanted one to add to our collection of Mustang stuff.

Ken,
You are the second person to ask about paint color. LOL Carole asked if we were going to paint it Dark Ivy Green Metalic to match the fastback. We still need to identify the year and verify that it is an AMF pedal car. Once we determine a few things, we have several options. We can make a Pace Car out of it, paint it white, yellow, blue, or leave it red. We shall see what we can find out. We will get it cleaned up tomorrow and maybe take a few digital pictures. It is missing it's wind shield, shifter, grille, one tail light and seat. Rust is not a major issue in this case, but rather minor. All the major parts are there and work great.

Ked,
We have looked at several pedal cars on E-bay and decided the price wasn't worth it or the cars were way to rusted. We do go to lots of auctions and fortunately this pedal car was listed in the local paper. Other wise we would not have gone. This paticular auction doesn't normally have that much.

Thank you for posting the pictures of the Pedal Car Steve!

Ken, just for you. We included our yellow 1:12 scale pedal car.

We are still debating weather or not to keep it red or paint it dark Ivy Green Metalic to match the fastback.

The show was a blast.....there were about 630 cars there and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Plus the fact that (like I mentioned to you and Sam) it was only about 1/4 mile from my house. Temp. gauge in the 65 never even saw 110 degrees !!!

A 1/4 mile from your house so it only took you 12 seconds to get there.

Dave will they let you take the new car on the ship. You could set up some drags on the top deck.

Scoop,
I could take the pedal car to the ship, but I don't think I want to drag race on the flight deck. It's a long way down to the ocean. The last car that drag raced went 145 mph in 2 seconds and 300 feet. It made one heck of a splash when it landed. Good thing it was a "bowtie".
