This is kind of a lame article, but gives a little insight:

Not a bad article! It was an interesting read, and while I already knew it was the V6 Mustang sales that keeps fueling the Mustangs production, I still feel that Ford should do something to keep up with the "Joneses".

Indeed...the V6 should be bumped up significantly, as should the V8s. Clear the 200 hp mark with the V6, and clear the 300 with the V8.

Those little "toys" should go though...the infotainment garbage. Would all be unnecessary to me. Hope it's offered as an option of some sort rather than taking up the extra room by mandate. Though, the wireless phone thing does sound cool...I've been thinking how neat it would be if you could route your cell phone now through your car stereo. Push a button on the radio and you can talk, and hear the conversation over your speakers. That would be neat.

Seems like the new high tech items are going to be fun and intereesting, but why won't Ford offer what we really want?? ( I do anyway...)

Order the car... I was going to buy GT but I did not want the garbage traction computer control and also the other GT only options. I wanted a bare bones car with an engine. Ford said "no"....

Why??? Make it like it was. Go see a car and order the options that YOU or I want and then wait a few weeks. Would it be worth it?? I think so. I would like to order the car and read the brochire backwards and forwards, like a kid at Christmas.

Also, Offer more than the lame Modular engines please! I want a 351W or a Boss 429!

In this day and age of get it done fast and instant gratification, Ford should be doing one of Two things in my eyes:

1. Put the FORD in affordable. Too much for a V6 car.

2. Let the future owners dictate what we want to see in the cars, not what a 'suit' wants to see.

Just my .02 worth... I know that opions are like... You get my point. I just want to see the mock-up's for the car though... Any spy pics yet????

Matt

My only hope is that Ford doesn't screw this up like the new Probe (cougar). FWD is boring, I've driven a '94 SHO MTX, somewhere around 230hp, it doesn't fishtale, the rear end sticks great, what fun is that? I've had more fun in a country squire, and not just using the cargo space either...
BTW: Fords options, yeah, they're a joke. You can't get an extended cab 4.0l ranger with a manual, and you can't get the Mach 560 (yes 560, no wussy 460) in a regular cab, not around here anyway.

Ya know, as long as this suggestion's been up, it's taken me this long to realize something.

I think there are a couple other Mustang "enthusiast" sites out there that have Ford sending surveys to the site, and the site members partaking in the survey to give feedback to Ford.

Any chance of us getting something like that?? Maybe Steve can work some magic like he has with the other current sponsors?
