I'm wanting to buy a Hurst 1/4 stick to put in my car so how do you know what wires from the old switch to cut to install the new safety switch that mounts on the shifter?

Ok Alex,I've finally found some time to go out to the Shop..there is 2 red wires with a blue tracer,a black with a brown tracer, and a white with a black tracer.I would guess the red wires goes to the new switch(one on eachside)..but where does the white wire and the black wire go?
