Alex,I hear that their will be over 1,000 MustangII's in reno,American Standard is holding their annual tradeshow out there this weekend called Poop in it too and Invited only Fords,So you will need to take your stash of oranges with you,and donot leave any at home! You dont want to bring any of them back to Illinois because they will go bad and shrivel,So use them up out there,Is Homes going with?

What were they smoking??I thought they must have finally sobered up. However, they may have finally gotten hold of some good head medicine and had a religeous experience.

Sorry Alex. We've called ahead and told them to watch out for you. We gave them careful instructions to not sell you ANY produce, no matter the circumstances. Told them not to crumble any pressure, even if you do say "But my doctor says I need to eat more fruit (or vegetables)." ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Personally, I prefer the M Cobra II, I'm not saying that the King Cobra isn't nice, but I find it overdone. Glad to see though that a M II got into the Top 10. I love our Cobra. Does anyone know what else was on the list...? Thx!------------------ Zeph 1976 Mustang Cobra II

Zeph, the King made it onto the list mainly because of rarity (~4000 units in only one year) not because most people consider it the best looking. It's kinda crappy that our cars will be recorded in history by that overdone pig and the lowest v-8 power output,IMO

Bob,I can't make it to Reno either, That's why I am shipping 50 cases of oranges to Alex in Reno, so when he comes back he will be so tired of the oranges he won't want to mess with anybody in a thousand mile radus of him...hehehe

No Thanks Bob,I don't want anything to do with that idea,I live close to Alex and Tony,The dam snow just melted last week here in my yard,When Alex wasen't putting oranges in my pipes over the winter he was throwing Snow this way,When it would snow they would fire up the snowblower, turn on the Nitrous and blow snow over into my yard(keep in mind we live 20 minutes apart)I don't want to think what they would do with the fruit, the Snowblower would turn into a Fruitblower....Sorry but Count me out!Any other ideas for the Master

really bad since it is not true. the '81 did not have a 302 option The only V-8 availiable in the mustang that year was the 120hp 4.2L 255 v-8

OK, since it applies to mine especially, how about I revise that to be the only Mustang which had NO V-8 until the public cried for it (top power output of any mustang in '74 was 105hp for the 2.8, and a whopping 140lb/ft of torque) and I still love mine. Crazy that way I guess

hey, the fastest car I've ever been in was powered by a 2.8L slug.Stock heads, aluminum gear drive, stock solid lifters...7.5:1 compression, custom ground cam, o-ringed block, Offy dual-port intake, Holley 390cfm 4bbl, custom cast exhaust manifolds, twin IHI RHB5 V18 trim turbos, 11psi boost. In a 2200lb Capri, it's no slug. I've also been in a couple another Capri with 10:1 compression, ported heads with 2.0L Pinto valves, aftermarket cam with very little vacuum at idle, headers, Offy intake, 390cfm 4bbl...that Capri was around 2600lb and was pretty quick too.

a turbo four in a light car, it's the power to weight thing. I thing the biggest reason our IIs get such a bad rap is because I believe it's the only "pony" car ever offered with a 4 cylinder and nothing offered in the mid 70's made much power from the factory. Low performance cars mandated from a government with low performance minds.

Yeah, but Ford gave that 2.3L 4 cylinder a good reputation. Think of the Turbo Coupe T-Bird and the SVO Mustang. I would own either of those any day.

a SVO II, sounds like a good project for somebody. With all the SVO vehicles Ford made, one could pick and choose parts from what was offered.

I love II's very much but, a 1978 king Cobra looks like a rip off of similar era trans-ams to me. (Sceaming chicken/spitting snake)My friend's 2.8l II coupe had a v8 motorcraft two barrel adapted to it with a plate. It also had a free flowing 2 1/4" exhaust with no cat. The car had 3.40 gears in it. It was not a rocket ship but it stomped my 86 Buick sky hawk turbo (15.90 quarter time) with ease. It snows up here so why waste a good ford.
