Checked out a lead today on a red t-top car. Turned out to be a red t-top King Cobra. Buck tag checks out as the real deal. Pretty rough, needs everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Sign in the windshield said $1500 firm. 302(duh)/auto, rear defog. Has all 4 lacy spoke wheels, but has the wrong centers on them. Inspection sticker in window is 10 years old, and the plate looks to be as old, though they had bought the current sticker. Needs for sure: Front bumper, header panel, dash panel(hacked for radio), complete interior including cargo panels and carpet. Not a straight panel on it, except the hood. Missing all 3 front airdam pieces and the brake ducts, right spoiler end cap. Hood scoop is there as well as the rear wheel spats. Also looked to me like I saw holes in the rear footwell. Usual core support damage. Fresh battery, 302 appeared to run, though the air claner is off and in the seat. I guess if somebody REALLY REALLY wanted a KC, it might be salvageable, but I hope this isn't the one my friend said he was looking at. I've got the telephone # if anybody is foolish enough to want this. Haven't been able to catch the owner yet, but should get more info later.

There is also a 1978 King Cobra for sale here in Pensacola, Florida. It looks to be in real great shape and very original. I have not given the car a good looking over, but if anyone is interested, just let me know and I will get more details and info for you. If it was yellow, without t-tops, and real cheap, I'd be interested.Luckily, I already have too many cars.
