i am getting a 76 ocbra II or a 78 king cobra II.
it is a t-top, but my qwuestion is near the rear window is has the black bar where u t-tops are ocnnected to. ius there nayway to make it smaller

You don't know which it is?

T-tops rule out the '76.

You could remove the targa band, but it won't help the value of the car any if it's a real King Cobra, with the right parts.

I have to say that I never really liked the targa band. Kills the lines of the car, IMO.

I have had two II T-tops and I don't like the look of the basket handel. In my opinion it's butt ugly On both my old and new old car I removed it completely. It is a fiberglass piece-o-crap covered in material. I removed mine and welded up the trim holes. The basket handel contrary to popular opinion does not do anything. (accept look ugly). I put regular hatch trim back on it. The quarter window ect, are all the same. American sunroof corp, laid electrical tape on the window and put the offending trim junk on over it. The T-Roof convershion itself is very funny, it's a back yard pop rivited togeather mess! (the trim and headliner cover the work of blind and stupid craftsmen?
