1) Where would be the best place to connect the radio's clock power. It needs to stay hot when the key is turned off.2) Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for the plactic piece that covers the parking break. Mine is shot . I don't know what to call that peice. 2Crazy

1) THE BATTERY. If there's somewhere else, someone could probably enlighten us. My dad made the mistake of running my aftermarket's radio memory lead into the *brake lights* for it's constant source of power. From then on, I had nothing but problems with the brake lights. 2) The e-brake boot? or the mini-console? If it's just the boot, check some local salvage yards first...then try some II dealers: http://w3.cablespeed.com/~shannon/m2part.html They may be a little more pricey than a yard would be. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

I'd connect it to the battery side of the starter relay. You could connect it to the fusible link at the rear of the engine compartment instead (not as far to run wire), unless your car has a heated backglass and is already using it.(only took me 21 years to figure out what that link was for!)

I found the easiest place to hook the mem/clock wire is to the cig. lighter hot wire. Its fused its close and its on all the time. I should be a light blue wire. Later, Tim.

Does anyone have a picture of the mini console or know there I can see one. My II just has the rubber boot, but I kinda like the idea of the mini console

Here's my "mini" console: You could also try finding the full-length console, which runs just about the whole length of the center hump. It has the flip-open lid, a coin tray under the end of the e-brake lever...the problem usually lies in finding one in decent shape. If nothing else, Phil Schmidt at the MII Specialty Shop sells them for $90 each. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Thanks for posting the picture of your mini console. It looks like NEW! I am going to try to find a full console first, I think. I did not know they had one. Then look for the mini console if I can't find a full one. Thanks, 2crazy

Hey The Cobraman,I am looking for black. I currently have the small boot that just covers the brake. It is in pretty bad shape I am looking for the full length console.

A note on the full console:The rear of the console is in my elbows way when shifting. This may not be a problem with an auto but I find it inconvienant with a 4 gear.

The same full lenght console was used on the early Fox Stangs... '79 for sure and possibly '80... The plain ole boot is the same as well.. I got my console from an '80...
