Well my II is finally painted

My IIs page

I painted it twice!! The first color was Lemon Yellow
I was not happy. I then repainted it 2001 Ford Chrome Yellow. It took me three evenings to tape the black stripes and letters!! The last night I was taping until 11:30 at night.
It is not our Rustang any more!!!!
It's a head turner!!!
I got the only II in town

I might have one to spare...but my others are getting full... LOL

Dang 2crazy!!! Lookin' *sweet*!!! And ya kinda did it without us knowing...hehe. It looks very nice. Chrome yellow is a great color, methinks...a lot better than that zinc yellow.

So is it road ready now??

A while back I posted a series of pictures I did in paintshop pro. I was thinking about putting black flames on it. Got a lot of input. Decided against the flames at this point. It runs great. I am thinking about building a drive-train for it next. I am thinking about putting a 302 in it, Right now is has a 4 cyl. in it. With the price of gas not a bad engine right now My Grand Father ordered this car in 77'. The only feature it had was A.C. It didn't even have a radio (has a Jensen now ) It is standard and has manual brakes and steering. Anyone else have a II with manual steering? I am also thinking about changing rearends and REALLY modifying the 4 cyl. I would love to smoke a V8 with a lil' 4 cyl. Nothing like inflicting a little humiliation on a big heavy chevy

2crazy: Wow it looks great! I am glad you did not go with the flames. The II has such a sexy bod, it does not need them! I love the paint colors. I know what chrome yellow looks like, in your post it looks kinda peachy! My V8 II has been changed (by me) to manual steering. My Giha was a V8 II with manual steering too. The steering is fine while moving, slow parking requires some effort. I thought the II's power rack was waaay too over assited. I think you should but a 302 ho fuel injected engine or a 2.3l turbo out of a 87 T-bird in your matchine! 22mpg with the 5.0l. I have driven many Turbo fords, and in a straight line they feel like a V8! It's a thinking mans engine though. If your cruising along and you feel like you need to say, be in the triple digits, like now, you have to gear down and get the boost a flowing. I prefer the torque of a V8. Just stab and steer and acctivate the nitrous if some car with a name ending in a vowel steps up! I will drive a V8 until there outlawed.

You found it!! I painted my II the color of the colorized picture first. It was that color for about 2 days. Then $119 in paint later.... New color!!! Looks much better..

mustangj I like the idea of a V8 too and I would like a new V8 with fuel injection also. I am just a little concerned about connecting up a presurized fuel system
And the cost!!
