I'm rebuilding the steering box from my 1968 Mustang. I need a new sector shaft (with the 'half gear' integral to it). The box is a 16:1 ratio (tag SMB-K). Does anyone know a good source for this type of part.

try www.macsautoparts.com they have alot of steering parts for all fords. good people to deal with

All Classic Mustang 701-624-FORD, J.D. Larson They have a tremendous delection of classic Mustang Parts. In Nebraska or Dakotas.

If you are not doing a concours restoration, I would buy the brand new needle bearing Flaming River steering box. I have one and like it pretty well.
