Thanks Steve for posting the pics for me. I was hit by a 16 year old girls who took a left in front of me. I was going 50 in a 55, never had time to put on my brakes, no skid marks. I did a 180, so did she, ending up in a ditch. Both cars were totalled, she had a 97 cavalier. Her roof totally buckled. She broke both legs. I bruised my knees and pulled a muscle in my back, so Im not hurt...just sore. Thank God for airbags. I just remember sitting on the side of the road, looking at my car, wondering where the hell the front of it was!!! Thought I was seeing things! The engine went 5" into the firewall [This message has been edited by SuzyQ (edited 05-26-2003).]

Oh about 2 month ago. Im still going to physical therapy- the heck with the percocets, I'm addicted to the massages! My knees are still swollen. I just feel lucky to be alive and I just dropped off my 5 year old at school that day, Im glad she wasnt in the car. Even though I bought another Mustang, I still feel sad about losing that one. I didnt even have her 8 months..."sniffle"

Yeah, I asked about that one too... sold it totaled.I bought an aztec red 2000 GT convertible with white interior/white top. I havent even made my first payment on the car and it's messed up, one of the 40amp fuses is draining my battery, so everytime I get out of the car I have to pop the hood and pull the fuse. any ideas why? sorry to hear about the car, and I am glad you are okay. Cars are replaceable people are not..I had A guy run a stop sign and nailed me. spun me around and ended up looking like i was going the other direction and on the other side of the road..the cop starts in om me about how i should have seen him and i told him look jerk those are my skid marks on the other side of the street and he knocked me over hear and some witnesses agreed, then the cop was so nice to me. what a moran..I was only like 24 and this guy that hit me was in a subaru and was like 40s in a business suit..if that is not being stereo typed, Idont know what is..Bruce[This message has been edited by N266fords (edited 05-27-2003).]

Wow. Glad you made it through that one. Looks like it was a very rough ride!Ditto on the raised age limit to drive. Though it's a hassle to have to drive your kids around, it's better than letting them out there without the proper maturity level to handle the responsibility. ------------------ Beth Head Cheerleader for Moneymaker Racing! Sorry to hear about the accident. I'm really glad you're ok. Certainly was scary, I'm sure. What's the 40 amp fuse used for? starter fuse? Sounds like you have something that is draining it. Knowing what runs through that fuse will help you trace it. Your owner's manual should have a basic schematic that would show you what it runs.

Thanks for all the get wells. Dave, The book says the fuse is for PCM anyhow, the dealer wont fix it for free (even though I've only had the car 2 weeks) Im only covered for power train, they said its wear and tear, Im going down there today to "tear" their ass up, make a big 'ol fuss, right in the showroom. I've bought 2 cars from them in 8 months, they better do me right.

She only had her license for 3 months, she was on restriction, she wont get her permanent license now.BTW, her insurance company gave me $2500.00 more than what I paid for that car, PLUS sales tax, title, and registration fees...I made out pretty good as far as that goes; however, I'd rather just have my car back. ...and it'd only make things worse, easier to learn while young and an inexperienced 19 year old wouldn't be any better. In my opinion the worst drivers are those who are learning to drive for the first time as elderly people. Maybe widows who never drove before ar recent immigrants... you can't teach an old dog new tricks... 'cept maybe the roll over and play dead part

Suzy Im glad you are ok. That looks like quite a hit. I think the graduated license should be a lot longer. I know several parents who wont let their kids drive "cause its raining" or "its foggy" Well Now just how the heck are they gonna learn to drive in it, if we dont instruct them and let them try it. Every wreck I had as a young driver was due to non experience. You only learn by doing. They should just have a lot better checks and safeguards on making sure restricted drivers stay within their restrictions. But I am all for the graduated license programs. Shell

I'm a believer that there's not near enough training involved in getting a license. 6 hours of behind the wheel time with a qualified instructor is completely insufficient. The tests that they give are typically in some abandoned parking lot where the student has to imagine that this is a real road/stop sign/3-way intersection/parking space/alley way/whatever. That doesn't do the student any favors. Then they deduct point cuz they didn't use their signal to enter a pseudo parking space when there's not another car around for 4 miles. Their excuse is that they don't want inexperienced drivers out on actual roads. Isn't that the point?!?!?!/rant off

He said to the manager, "sure I'll pay for it, but then Im gonna sue you", suddenly theyre singing a different tune, Im bringing it in on Saturday and they WILL repair it for free.
