Anybody know of any reliable auto transporters that have runs from the Phoenix area to Orange County, Ca? I'm going to be moving to Orange, Ca at the end of June, due to the break up of me and my fiancee. I need to find a company to transport my '70 from Phoenix to Orange.------------------ 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, another 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford parts truck, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic

Sorry to hear of the break up. That's a relatively short distance, wouldn't a U-Haul be simpler? Here's a thread we had a while ago about auto transport companies: https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006536.html ------------------

Thanks Steve. It's a distance of about 375 miles. I was thinking of a U-Haul trailer, but I'd have to rent a 14 ft truck to tow a car, and I don't need anything that big. Just a 10 ft would do. I had the car shipped out here last year for $200, but I don't remember the name of the company.------------------ Gary- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, another 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford parts truck, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic [This message has been edited by 70SportsRoof (edited 05-22-2002).]

I don't know of any off hand, but I'll ask around. I've got a brother-in-law in Phoenix, he's in the automotive industry; I'll see if he knows of anyone reputable. I'm sorry to hear about the circumstances, hope everything goes ok. When you get into town, shoot me an email. We'll hook up and talk shop

Well then, check out the thread I linked. That will help. I used AAA Auto Transport and they were ok.------------------

Thanks Steve, I took a look at the link and will check some of them out, including AAA. Hey, V8Thumper, what part of Orange are you in? I'll be moving to Old Towne Orange, about 5 minutes from the Circle. ------------------ Gary- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, another 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford parts truck, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic

I'm at the other end of town... if you go east on Chapman, I'm just up the hill; I can see the Mining Company restaurant from my patio. Heck, we could be neighbors!

Scoop, the reason I can't drive it back is that I've got a moving truck to drive back to Cal. I'm doing this by myself. Plus, my car gets really sh*tty mileage, and I need premium...that'll cost a bunch in the middle of the desert. I'd love to drive it myself, but can't.V8 Thumper...I've got some really good friends that live up that way, right next to the preserve. They are near Newport Blvd., and a 3-5 minute drive from Santiago Canyon College. Small world...lol ------------------ Gary- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, another 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford parts truck, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic
