Ok never mind the tranny guy cut his hand real bad today. So I told him I'd take my car back home, and let me know when he gets better.
So it'll go in next Sat,or Sun,and yes he's ok.

Ok I have many ??? about new trans.

1.It has an 2500rpm stall, which is taking some time to get use to.Is there alwats slip like going up a driveway slow.I have to give it more gas.
2.I had the trans guy install a Poly trans mount.Dose that or will it cuase vibration.I notice at about 2500-and up that theres is now a vibration. It dose it when I'm stopped or rolling.
The trans guy tells me that just the new trnas mount???
3.My speedo is off now too.And the faster I go the more it seems off??

Can Any one help me with these things please.
Otherwise I'm real happy with it.No more thump going from Reverse to drive. And no more trans juice on floor.
And power braking it to 2200-2400 gives it a new feel off the line.
I also Like having a place for 1-2-3rd over the green dot.
But not one tire chirp

1. You'll get used to that, although a 2500 stall shouldn't be noticable, I'd think. You have a trans cooler, right?

2. Yes, the rubber mount isolates vibration. The poly just transmits it.

3. Your speedo shouldn't be off. You've made no change that would effect that.

4. No chirps? He did put in a shift kit, didn't he? On my Sprint, you can't NOT chirp second gear.

1.Steve I do notice the difference with the 2500rpm stall.Even on the freeway theres a small delay before it moves.

2.The vibration is really noticable.

3.He did install a new tail shaft with the new trans.Could the speedo gear be different in there????
My speedo is off like 10-20mph faster then my speed.I'll check it better on the way home tonight.

4.Steve no shift kit for say.He did a modified valve body.It shifts way faster but not real hard.Could it be the rear gears are to low?

It drivers real different now.

One more thing, there is a whine now in 1st gear from the trans. My other trans never did that.

Thanks for the help, sorry for the long post.

I talked to my trans guy today. So going to look at my car on Wednesday.I swears the vibration is from the poly mount. And he can make the trans shift harder to make the tires chirp. But he said for now he made it shift fast but to hard.So as to not stress the rear end and drive line to much?
Yes it needs my old speedo gear, but he said you have to pull the trans to get to the gear.So I'll wait for my new gears, then change the speedo gear.
