I got the official word today. The job at the Board of Elections was offered to someone else. He already has his degree and also has experience. Terri was very nice to call me and let me know. I thanked her for her time, and told her that I had suspected that the position had gone to someone else. She told me I was her second choice, if that helped any. I laughed and told her I had heard that a lot over the past couple of years in interviewing and also expressed to her that I believe everything happens for a reason. She did ask if she could keep my application and resume on file. To which I certainly agreed. Then I said, "so, you know anyone at the health department????" She doesn't, but said I could use her as a reference..... Oh well!! I surprised myself by not taking this as hard as I thought I would....but, everything happens for a reason! ------------------ The MOST Conservative Grrl 1970 Mustang Coupe, the SheStang 1964 Fairlane Sedan, constant project '94 Mustang GT Convertible, canary yellow, the Queen Bee Mustangsandmore.com Member #142

Ked I'm sorry to hear that.I tried for 2 years to get on with RPD.Always one away from the person they hired.I got on the reserves for about 3 years and loved it.I was glad I did not get on full time. After seeing how the department was ran. I know how it feels, but like you I too believe things happen for a reason.I have a great job and a great family, and all of you. What more could a guy want. SCOOP

Actually its in one of those big sundae cup thingies. They fill the bottom with one ice cream then put alternating layers on top of the cup, ends up looking like a huge ice cream cone . But forget Scoop, I'll treat ya Ked .
