While working on the wife's Harley (Yes the wife's....)got a wild hair to start the '68 convertible, haven't been near it since Sept.
Applied a little starting fluid and she awoke from her peaceful slumber......
Wife 'suggested' I get whatever work needed to be done, done to it and get her going...

I just need a few witness's........

Thanks, and its about 70 degrees here in Gloucester, Va. and I have the top down and driving her around the yard (no current inspection )

And I have a pic of it as soon as Sam puts it up somewhere everyone can get to it....

Tony,I've yet to get it to the track.I'll tell you I have taken a few 5.0's and many chevys. It only looks like a monster,it's just a low dollar toy for now,but it's alot-O-fun.

69MACH1 are nice,But I really like the 65-68 bodys the best.

SCOOP,

I haven't drivern anything bigger than a 2.5L on a regular basis since High school (had a '65 Ford Custom with the 352 and auto) drive a Dodge dakota daily with a 2.5 daily to work (50 miles each way) driving the '68 vert with a 200 6cyl, seems like alot of power....can only imagine what it's like to punch a 351...I have driven a stock car running a chevy 350, at Langley speedway for a lap, but since it wasn't mine didn't want to put her in the wall.....

If you ever run her let me know...And the closest I ever got to Reno was NAS Nellis in '87 with the US Navy.....

Envious,
T

Tony my driver is a 94 f150 six. When I do get in my 65 it seems fast until some real hot rod shuts you down.

Those six's can be made to out run alot of v8's out there.

Thanks for kind words,It's a good 50 footer.
but there are some really nice and real fast cars on this site. That my car could not even take a back seat to.

Tony, I'll be one of your witnesses too. Since I'm a grrl, it might count more than the guys' testimony It was absolutely beautiful here today. I took Miss Stang out for a run after stopping at the gas station - 14 gallons - no wonder she was a b*tch to start! This was the first time I've had her out since the Joy Fund Show (that Sam missed) in early December. John started her and let her run in the garage once or twice since then, but that's been it. Since I've had Anni with all her modern technology, I really feel the need to get rid of those pump and pray brakes on Miss Stang (4 wheel drums). Stopping her can be really scary! After I brought her back home, we parked her and Anni real close together for a few photos - the first time we've had them together since Anni got her personalized plates. Hopefully one of the pics will be enough to my liking to send to MCA to publish in the license plate section of Mustang Times.
