I was debating which forum to post this in but here goes.

A beautiful day in South Central Kentucky, so, I took my coupe out for awhile for some adrenalin rush. I noticed that my 7 year old BFG TA radials have cracks all around the sidewalls. Well, I've been thinking about new tires since I put the 347 in. The TA were never known for superior traction. I stopped at the Firestone store and looked at the Firehawk SZ50. Tennessee Brother-in-law has them on his GT-350 and they bite the road good. I gotta keep my TTD wheels so I'm restricted to 15" tires. Half the tire makers don't make good 15" anymore only in 16,17,and 18 which really sucks.

Anyone got any good suggestions or experience on Tires, gotta be 225-60-15

Mike

I like Cooper Cobras. I had a set of 15" Firehawks and will never buy another set of Firestones again. They wore out fast and uneven, and not from burnouts or poor alignment either. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't buy Firestones again just for loyality reasons.

You don't like the traction of the TAs?

What about some Michelins or Pirellis?

So what's wrong with BFG T/A's? I was thinking of getting a set next year, along with some 16"X8" Magnum 500's. I have never used the T/A'a before but thought that they had good solid sidewalls and a classic look, both which suits me.
Other opinions, please?

Stang 106,
Comp TA's on my 88 GT,and they work for me and I'm running corners and same type of road as you over in P.A.With all the rain we get I've found them especially good on the wet roads,
That softer rubber seems to make the back end stick a little better and I love it when Momma says "what's that smell" when I light 'em up'
I'm runnin' 225/60/r15s

Both of my Mustangs have BFGs on them. Comps on the 90 and T/A radials on the 67. I love em...
