These joint gifts that we get from relatives absolutely crack me up. Don't get me wrong, joint gifts are fine, but here's the deal. This year we got 3 gifts that were for "Sandy and David" from various relatives. Gift #1: An Anne Geddes Angel calendar. Gee, thanks. Gift #2: Angel candlestick holders. Ummm, thanks. Gift #3: A gallon glass water pitcher with huge flowers all over it. Sigh....Next year I'm hoping they'll address the gifts to "David and Sandy". That way I'll get a Craftsman Screwdriver set, a Gone in 60 Seconds DVD, and a cordless drill!! I don't mind if they don't get me a gift, and I realize it's the thought that counts. But, really, who do they think they're kidding?!?!?!

I would rather not get anything and have the money spent on my daughter's sheltered education fund or a charity; especially when some people are not as financially comfortable as us(we both work full time) My mother in law gives me a $100.00 gift certificate for Canadian Tire so that is a good one; but only because I know they can easily afford it.
