Ok Gun hobbist I have a question on the AK-47 (?) that UBL has on his right hand side.Someone at work said the Clip was not correct for that gun..anyone look that close and is this true? He also note during the 35 min Vid-Clip UBL did not move his Left side..(arm,shoulder) anyone note this. I have not seen any of the tape and what shown on CNN hasn't been much more than 3 mins. Old UBL looks tired and worn don't he sam

I'm no expert...just an enthusiast. There are different versions of the AK I understand. A friend of mine put a scope on his and uses it to hunt deer. Says it's accurate up to 400 yards. I've seen him shoot and I believe him. I haven't seen the tape either. Is there a site where one can look at it?

Ak-47 rifles are made in several different countries by many different people, most using inferior machinery to fabricate the parts, surprising that it is a very very good weapon,I'm sure the magazines are manufactured the same way, even here in the USA the magazines are from many different sources, the M-16 our military uses is made to military specs by several different companies, they contract to supply rifles to the US military. Colt, Armalite and Bushmaster all make high quality AR-15/M-16 rifles.AK-47 or AK74 = dependable but accurate but ugly rifles. AR-15 or M-16 = dependable, accurate and very precise tolerances for a pretty gun. UBL is left handed, and yes his left arm never moved in the video, too bad it wasn't his head that was injured. ------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed 91 f-150 xlt 98 explorer xlt sohc v-6

got an MAK-90, chinese copy of AK-47. our local range is only 200 yards, but its plenty accurate within that. (surprising, with such loose tolerances, but thats what makes it so reliable)
