David and I had our first Christmas last night. We poured some champagne and opened our gifts to each other. We both got some wonderful things and had a great evening. It was such a change for both of us, past holidays with exs were not pleasant experiences to say the least.
Now we're off to have a Xmas brunch with my dad...I'm making eggs benedict for my dad and I, and biscuits and gravy for David (he doesn't do eggs)....then we're going to David's mom's for his family's Christmas...including the opening of packages, eating a traditional Christmas mexican meal, complete with Sangria, then playing a rousing game of "UNO" (a card game) where we can totally piss each other off...in the most fun sense of the word of course...
