Jay Buhner retired from the Seattle Mariners last week. It was a sad day in Marinerville. This showed up on on page C3 of toady's Seattle Times. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sports/134381935_mail23.html

We Dave! Great article that you wrote. You are so right in all that you said. To many players are all about the money and not the game.

If anybody deserves to be in the hall of fame it is Jay, Mainly because he is not a truly gifted player with a lot of natural talent. He deserves to be there because he has a work ethic that anyone would be proud to have a portion of, played through injury, was NOT a primadonna, did not seek the limelight, was always a team player. A full roster of Buhner`s = World Series Title.
