Does anyone know anything about how hard it is to get a series 7 license? I sometimes get a wild idea about re-entering the work force. ------------------

I didn't think the test was that hard, I helped my mother study for it. I wanted to get mine however I found out you have to be sponsered by a broker which let me out. Good luck to you.

What is a series 7 license ? Have never heard of that here in B.C. We might know it by another definition , but , it doesn`t ring a bell. JOHN

ya know, it's kind of funny that you mention that...I have a good friend that has been a broker for about 8 yrs, and that whole time he has been pestering me to work with him. I actually may take him up on it this time... You have to be sponsored to be eligible for the tests. Most companies have a specific training plan leading up to the series 7. He says he has seen people be able to do it in about 4 months, but it normally takes people 8 to 10 months. As far as it being a hard test, if my buddy can do it, just about any average person should be able to do it. I'm seriously considering it. The biggest problem is during the training period, you don't make squat for money and you have to do all of the grunt work. I am sure that there has to be some loophole to allow an individual to get the license on their own, but I don't know what it is. chris ------------------ 64 Fairlane Hard top 289 4-speed -- SOLD to a good home. It's the license you need to work as a stock broker. ------------------

Hey all, I haven't been around in a little while,But anyhow,I have my 7.Like everybody else said you need to be sponsored to get a 7.There's alot of material but if you make the time and study hard you can pass it.Hey if I can do it anybody can.If you're thinking of doing anything within the financial industry it's a good tool to have.Even though it is a stockbroker license it is good to have even if you are looking to work in trading, operations, etc. If you need any help or advice, let me know, also if you want a copy of the material I may be able to help you out.Later
