Well I went out this weekend and bought myself an 86 Chevy Blazer S10. It is a 2.8i 4x4 And it will be my daily driver when it is too nasty for the Stang!!!!I am real excited. They are hard to come by over here for a reasonable amount. I got it for 100. They usually go for about 000, upwards. I am due to pick it up next weekend between christmas and new year! AND I CAN'T WAIT. Everyone I know over here I have told think I am barking mad!!! I just wanna know who told them????!!!!! Hehehehe Speak soon. Chebby? I'm sorry, very very sorry! {In case people in the UK don't know, going on a Ford web site and announcing you've bought a chebby is like going to a Martin Luther King rally and handing out Klu Klux Klan flyers... } ------------------

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! Hey at least I have gone for the U.S Vehicle! My Father in law has a newish Landrover Discovery and it is HORRID!!! Trust me the C**** is 10 times better. As for worrying about a ribbing!!!! Then Rib away........ Makes me Laff!!!! Then as "Kaylin" said "of course you know we will rib you over your bow-tie... but!! if it keeps your pony SAFE from harms way... then its fine with me!!!" Exactly that! I live in the countryside and at the top of a very steep hill. We don't get much traffic past the house so I wanted a 4x4 in prep! And also as there is plenty of room for all our camping gear when we go to race meetings! The other thing is.... It's different, hey after six months I might hate the thing! At least I will not have exactly the same 4x4 as every other person in my area! Never been one for conformity me!!! Heheheheeeeee.

I'm glad you have a sense of humor, Sally and can take some rubbing. That's how you know you're loved, right? Seriously, I'm all for keeping the Mustang out of the elements! ------------------

those things are just nutty prices tho.I guess you need to be an 18 year old immigrant kid before you can affort a new Caddy Escalade with the 26" rims I had an "SUV" once, a 73 Bronco, and unlike todays SUV's it rarely was driven ON the pavement. I think a lowered 5.0L will go most places owners ask of their new 4x4's

actually....a buddy had a 1970's VW Bug with 31" tall off road tires and the fenders cut out enough to clear them... otherwise stock and no posi that thing went anywhere, thru ditches, over trees and up steep mud slopes that you couldn't walk up. The 4 wheel drive rarely is an advantage ... look at Baja races, 2wd trucks/buggies always win. I have yet to see a Caddy Escalade or Lincoln Navigator even driven across a lawn.
