Its been a long time coming but it finally has!

For those that did not know, When I was forced to stop working in july 2000 my disability insurance company jerked me around for quite awhile before they finally completly denied my claim to benifits(you can still work during open heart surgery....right?).

To make a long story short, I was forced to get a lawyer and sue for my benefits

well a week ago my lawyer called to talk to me about it, it seems as though the company had made me an offer which was basically to pay me the benefits that I was owed, I guess there may have been a possibility to try and get them for my lawyers fees as well, but I really did not want to risk the chance of getting something, when I could lose it all.

I was not horribly excited, as I was not going to count my chickens before they hatched, I had felt too many when it looked like i was getting something, and ended up with nothing.

I recieved my check today

I can officially start my life over once again

my life has had a lot of ups and downs in the last 3 years here's hoping that it is nothing but up from here

Thanks for being there for me

Awesome Ed! Glad that you shared the great news with us. You do deserve every bit and then some. You already have a life, Ed, Tracy, your family, friends, and your extended M&M family. Now you can do what you have always wanted to do for the last three years and not worry about. Enjoy Ed. You earned it.

Thanks everyone, I am very happy about this, I am worried about going a little wild with the cash but i am doing my best to keep myself planted firmly on the ground.

You can see pictures of what i have to start with here: http://www.netsnapshot.com/pcw/buildalbum-cgi?ACCOUNT=894&KEY=1

School is going ok, very busy of course but its still going nonetheless
Thanks

Congrats Ed,
But it sure is sad to see that you have to fight for the insurance that you already paid for! That is a bunch of cr%$.
I'm very happy for you and have a wonderful holiday.
