 | posted 11-16-2001 11:48 PM Well first problem is the battery was dead (unrelated)
. Someone had obviously opened up the glove box and had forgotten to shut it. Well the battery is now dead enough where its not taking a full charge so I need to get a new battery tomorrow. Anyhow, started her up to try and recharge the battery and was looking around and noticed when I put my hand by the exhaust collector I felt exhaust. So it looks like the problem is just an exhaust leak that is making some real weird noise like a steam engine. I didnt get a chance to see if its just the donut or if the header/manifold has a hole in it but will look tomorrow. All my worrying and its looking to be this simple . Knock on wood thats all it is, I'll let you all know this weekend some time . ------------------Tim

I sure hope that it is just a hole in the exhaust. That would be a lot easier than what you had first suspected.

Did you get the 5.0 fixed this weekend or did you gaff it off.

Sadly I was once again to busy the rest of this weekend to fix her . Its not looking like I will have any spare time before Thanksgiving either so the goal is the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend. ------------------Tim
