im trying to figure out if i have a posi or not. Someone told me one way of doing it so i tried it. This is what i did: I jacked the car up. then i spun the one tire to the left and the one on the other side span the opposite direction. What does this mean?

Thx Mike

sounds like its not a posi. do a burnout and check if there are 2 black marks, or just one. could be a burned out posi.

Looks like you are eqipped with a non posi rear, like almost every 8" I`ve ever come across. If you are looking for a 8" traction lock, they are tough to find, but I`ve seen more in Mustang 11`s than anything else. I`ve also seen 3.40 gears in Mustang 11`s, another good place to look for gears is in some early Econolines.
