My first car was a 1966 Dodge Charger. First year they were made, and my favorite Charger body style although it was only made for two years. I will own one again just because. I might even buy the one I had back because I know where it is. It's still completely rust free and dent free and has a 440 in it. Sorry guys, but if there were no such thing as Ford, I'd be a Mopar guy.

My first car was a 69 Lincoln Continental.
This was actually my mom's but she was afraid to drive it.

In 1980 I was given a '73 Plymouth Fury III, could it get any bigger than that? That was my college commute bomber.

The first car I bought myself was in 1981, a '66 Mustang coupe, 289, mignight blue, very fond memories of that car!!!!!

Then I bought another '66 Mustang, 289, fire engine red in 1986, I loved that car too!

At 17, I bought my first car, an '86 Mustang LX 5.0 (one of ~6,600 LX 5.0s made, mine was a hatchback). Still proud that I paid for everything for that car and the car itself out of my own pocket (100%, its been that way for all my cars actually). At 18 sold the 5.0 when we moved from Alaska and bought a '90 Taurus (commuting to college, ~66 miles rt). Then at 19 bought the '65 as a project and sold the Taurus a few months later and made the '65 my daily. Then at 21 bought the convertible '88 GT to supplement my driving needs .

My first car was a 70 Nova, which was a car from hell. I graduated to a 70 Torino GT. Wish I still had it. Then I went to a 78 Pinto wagon,in bird dropping blue. Then I went to Ford trucks with a 79,85,and 95. alot of various junks in between, like 2 Monzas,A 79 Capri,a few more Torinos,a 67 Mustang cv,rusted right to death, and others. I'da kept the Capri if the previous owner didn't die of lung cancer in it! It was agood deal, though. I traded a beat up 200S three wheeler for it.

First car Mike and I bought together a few months after we were married in 1973 was a 71 Pinto. He beat the hell out that poor thing. A year later we bought a brand new 74 Pinto.
then...
1975 Dodge Ramcharger
1973 Pontiac Ventura
1978 Chevette
1979 Datsun 210 wagon
Finally...
1983 GT Mustang!!!
Except for a brief stint with a 1993 Tempo, all cars since 83 have been Mustangs. Numerous trucks, including a couple of Broncos, over the years.

Did about the same thing... In '73 or '74, I still had the Roadrunner... They made the National Speed Limit 55mph (trust me, No One was saying God Bless America Then)... Sold the Roadrunner for $800 and bought a '70 VW... Somebody kick us BOTH...

I learned to drive on a Chrysler Newport (I don't know the year, but it was big and boxy).

Age 16: 68 Plymouth Fury (white with a red interior). I was working at my high school (paying my own tuition) and the French teacher bought a new car. The dealer would only give her $50 towards a trade-in, so she decided to give the car to a deserving student. I was chosen and it was my transportation until I moved to California when I was 18.

Age 19: Mercury Cougar (god, I loved that car). Probably the way Ashley loves her Mustang. It was totalled and we sold it for parts soon after we were married.

Ditto what Duane said about the boring family cars, but they have been a necessary evil when transporting kid's and their friends.

Why would you be embarrassed about a '39 Ford Flat Head... They're one of the greatest Fords ever built...

First cars driven where a 1976 Toyota Corolla SR5 liftback or 1978 Chevy Pickup, depending on what Dad drove for the day.

First car I bought was the 1967 Mustang Coupe that I still have.

I had the pleasure of driving a 1965 Dodge Coronet 4 door when my Mustang died on me in college. Good thing the Grandparents kept that car even after my Grandmother stopped driving.

Went on to buy a 1986 Ranger, 1997 Explorer and 1996 Mustang GT Convertable.

My first car, at the age of 17, was a 1968 Mustang coupe with a 390. I went from that to a 1967 GTA that was my "baby" for quite a few years. I strayed from the Mustang path for quite a few years, circumstances requiring me to sell the GTA. I have had a couple of "cars" that got me to work... Then I met Dave, came back to my senses and bought the Cobra. I do have a commuter car, which shall remain nameless, to drive when the weather turns bad but til then....

1st Car was a 66 Mustang Coupe 289 at 15 1/2
2nd Car was 65 Mustang Coupe I6

I hit a pole and destroyed the 66 at 20. I then moved all the hipo parts over to the 65 that I still have though I don't use it as a daily driver like I did when they were purchased.

My first was a neat 47 ford coupe. My older brother gave it to me when I was 16. It had a full race flat head engine plus many other custom items. I slid off the road on ice and rolled it.
