I'm a car not just Fords.I have a friend that has a 70 superbird.Man what a car there are alot of people that dont even know what one is.His has a built up 440 6pac/4spd pistol grip/Dana rear with 4:56 gears. That Bird flys it runs in the high the 13's which is good for a car that heavy. But it's the looks that kill me that big wing in the back the cone nose. And the road runners on the sides.I'd love to have one some day they just keep getting more and more out of reach.
A 70 HEMI CUDA as to up there for any one.
A 49-50 Chevy coupe they are great looking cars down low and tubbed and big block. Please dont send all your hate mail to me.For liking non Ford cars.Ok so I have to much time at work. Ron

I liked my 66 Charger w/440. Dad bought a 70 Challenger 383 Magnum 4sp 3:55 suregrip new. I like those too. I like a lot of old Mopars. I wouldn't mind having a 67 Chevelle SS either. I like that body style. But they'll all have to wait until my Ford dreams are fulfilled.

Early Corvettes. I had a 62 that I had for years. Think about it once in awhile. And a certain five-five Chev powerpak 2dr. with a glide, that was a real terror. Though I had a couple early ones, I was never a Ford person until 63 Falcon Sprints, early Mustangs and Fairlanes. While I like some later Stangs, my interest waned after the 68's. I like the 2000/1's. 64-67 GTO cv's early SS 396' cv's. I never had the urge to own these but I respected them and even 68-70 AMX's. and 70 Challenger cvs.

Mustangs are easy to restore, cheap to do, by comparison to other makes, and fun to drive. They lend themselves to mods and they have the right design, and the right charisma,-at least for me! The first one that I saw in 64 was an unforgetable experience.

Some day I wll own a '34 Ford... They are so bad... I also like the 64 or 65 Chevelle... But since I have been around all of you... I would have to put a Ford Motor in it...

Wouldn't that be fun...

I have also always like the '66 Mustang Fastback...

Honestly I like any car that is tastefully modified or restored. I have grown up on fords and am biased to them. I guess since the first car I learned to wrench on was a 67 cougar they will aways be my favorite. What turns me off to most other brands is the negative attitude that their owners have.
What I find unimpressive is a big block chevy in a stripped down car that runs 12's or a 350 chevy that runs 14's. That shows the "you can throw anything together and make a chevy fast attitude" many people have.

The first car I bought as a teenager was a '67 Cougar. I loved driving it, but it was hit and run shortly after I was married and we sold what was left of it to a teenager looking to part it out. It's another one of those, if I only then, what I know now stories.

I sure wish I had my '70 Charger RT/SE with a built 440 magnum again (cranking out around 500 horses). Sold it to buy Sherra's '79 Camaro (what a mistake) when her '67 cougar got hit and run.
Either that or one of the six '70 Challenger RT's that my friend owns (one of which is a hemi), I have always like the looks of those cars.

Since I`m a drag racer, two of my favorite non Fords would have to belong to a couple of fellow 4 speed racers I know. One is a 70 Cuda that was the SS/D record holder (426 Hemi) from Vancouver Island, which currently runs 9.0`s thru full exhaust in bracket trim with a B1 headed 440. The other car is my buddy`s 66 Chevelle SS396 375hp SS/F former record holder. It has gone 9.7`s & I`ve made several NHRA licensing runs in it. Also, back in the early-mid 80`s, he had a numbers matching LS6 Chevelle SS454 that was ran 12.1`s with just headers, slicks & gears, it was an awesome street car.I think even TomP wouldn`t turn down an opprotunity to drive either of those Super/Stockers!

Well ofcourse I love my 69 Cyclone spoiler 390 4 speed.

But I also like the Jaguar XKE's. Am I getting to fancy?

Darryl use to restore them for a dealer he worked for, it would take months, the whole engine chromed out. Just gorgeous!

When done, Darryl and I would drive them down to Newport RI and show them in the Annual Jaguar show. Then drive them back to MA and the owner would sell them from $80-$120,000!

It was nice to PRETEND they were ours! LOL

Isn't the Mercury Sable a GREAT car? I have been driving Sables since 1998 when the changed the Cougar and made then small. The 98 and 99 when nice but when they changed it for 2000 they made it much much better. I just got a 2002 and I love it. Now is the time to buy all 2001 leftovers 0.0% financing for 60 months on all Lincolns and Mercurys. RAY

my 1972 VW karmann ghia. ok so she ain't fast but with 3/4" sway bars on both ends and my kyb shocks, you can easilly double the advisory speed signs you see just before turns.. a 40 mph sign tells me to do at least 80 through the turn.

I was almost not a Ford Man.

After 2 Plymouths I wanted a new car (1969 late fall) I placed an order at our local Plymout Dealer for a 1970 Cuda,,burnt Orange with Black top and interior,426 HEMI,4 speed and yes gears!!

Dad co-singed for me..however before the eveing was over I blew up my '67 Cuda drag racing (ie street racing) and Dad was..well PI$$ed..no Cuda for me..no co-sign from Dad..

Ok I found a new (1969) MACH I sitting on the Ford Dealers lot and bought it..really weak..351 with a 3 speed....ok in 6 months she had a ton of Muscle Parts in her

Get Tim to buy you a Ferrari

I suppose i wouldn't refuse to drive a SS Chevelle or Cuda.

A Miata with a 5.0L would be kinda cool... but sheesh, they be calling it a "fagster" if i ever showed up at the track with it.

My favorite non-Ford would probably be a '69 Camaro. I remember seeing a yellow Z-28 when I was a kid, and I wanted one just like it.

I actually tried to buy a '69 Camaro once. It was a white w/orange stripes SS/RS 350/auto and I agreed to buy it, went to get the money and returned to find it GONE. While I was at the bank, some girl showed up with cash and drove it away. That was close!

I actually like all the musclecars. But I so biased towards Fords that for me to actually buy a non-Ford would mean I have about a 50 car collection, so that's not likely to happen in this lifetime.

I kind of like the 70 Challenger RT Convertible myself. The Prowler is a cool lookin' modern day street rod but nothing beats a 97 Grand Am for pure driving excitement!
