Does ANYONE else have delivery problems with Mustang Monthly? Then --contacting an actual human being at their office is the next exercise in hell!! e-mail usually is completely automated, promising a human reply within "2-3 business days"--- yeah, right, never had a response yet!! Trying to buy "off the rack" here is just as risky!! AAAUGHH!! just had to vent!!! Am I the only one?!!!

About the only problem I've had with them is the fact that I get my copy *after* the newsstand gets their's. I don't like that. And once, I received my copy in the mail, but the cover was completely mutilated. I called 'em up and asked for another copy...got a new one about a week later. But it's been at least a year since that happened. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

I used to subscribe to Mustang Monthly, but after most of the issues arriving late, I decided that it was worth the extra few bucks to buy it at the newsstand, and not wait until they decided to get them out to subscribers. I too, feel that you should get your issue ahead of the newsstand if you pay your money up front!!------------------ Steve - M&M Member #690 '90 Limited Edition Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible '67 Mustang Coupe Member: Vancouver Island Mustangs Association; 1990 Limited Edition Mustang Registry Steve's 1990 Limited Edition Convertible Website

I too will recieve my Mustang Monthly & Mustang Times with mutilated covers. I hate when that happens. The problem I have with Mustang Times & this seems to be only since Peterson Publishing bought the magazine from Dobbs Publishing, they keep sending me subscripsion renewals. Even after I resubscribed in April & sent them letters telling them I already resubscribed. I guess one hand doesnt know what the other is doing, & wont tell. ------------------ Mike & Robin 65 Mustang Fastback 87 Crown Vic 96 Ranger Extd Cab 99 Explorer Sport M&M #- 890 MCA #- 04549 [This message has been edited by Mike65 (edited 08-21-2001).]

The problem is that the magazines have distribution centers that handle a bunch of publications. I don't even see MMonthly here on the stands. That even existed when Dobbs owned MMonthly. And if you get in the computer wrong, it'll take a miralce to straighten it out.

I seem to have more luck this time. I got my September issue already 2 weeks ago and they seem to have used another overseas mailer. Sally in the UK, you have probably fallen through the mail provider slots. After initial subscription it took them however as well 4 months to send the first issue over to me. That is quite quick for Mustang Monthly, as Clara is reading them all first to give approval for Jeff's next editorial.

I used to have that problem with my magazines until I complained to the postmaster. Now they come in mint. My sister is a letter carrier, and she said they probably just changed my stacking order so my mail isn't at the bottom of the stack for our route. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC Ford. I don't like getting my magazines after the news stands either. But' like Donald Farr told us, the big profits are from the news stand copies.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC Ford. Gosh, for all you guys complaining about getting your copies AFTER the news stands, I've got an easy fix to that one......DON'T GO TO THE NEWSTAND! DUH!!! I've had a couple of problems with my subscription to MM over the years, but after talking to them, they've ALWAYS cleared it up for me, either with an extension of my subscription, or immediately sending me out another copy. I've been a subscriber since 1991, so they want to keep me around!!------------------ Sub Stanger/Stangless 2001 Ford Ranger (4 Door Extended Cab)

I used to get my subscribed-to Super Fords AFTER they had the NEXT MONTH on the stands The mailman 'splained it one day... magazines are bulk mail, they deliver some titles on Tuesday some on Thursday ,etc... it could sit here in town a week before it goes out.

I have every issue going back to '82 with a few issues before that. My subscrition started in 82 and I have had a problem twice but it was corrected. After a call to Postal Authorities the last time, the two issures in question were promptly sent out by MM and the problem ceased. I think that THIS problem was with a new Mustang owner in the Post Office. I even mentioned that to the Postmaster. Petersen does get on the PO's case in these cases. It's still the best Mustang Magazine for me, followed by M&Fords and Mustang Times. Hemmings, Old Car and Mustang Traders round out my intellectual LOL! LOL! reading!!!
