Yup, there is a big Fri night car show every week in the summer in North ST Paul, and the local dealer brought 3 of the new T-Birds this week.
All I can say is WOW. I wasn't planning on being impressed, but when you sit in one, you will be hooked. USA Today slammed them in their review a few weeks ago, saying the handling was bad below 50 and the engine didn't have enough power.
They had a red, turquoie and black one there. The Turquoise color is very cool, but a little too much. Opinions varied on it at the show, but it was definitely unique and a head turner. The Black with turquoise trim was the winner, classy, and maybe the nicest car I have ever been in.

Anyway, thought I would chime in here. Steve, if you are reading this....hang on, don't drop this forum yet. With the new ones coming, it might generate some action.

my first car was a T-Bird

MotorTrend and Car&Driver, who both hate most Ford vehicles, gave the new T-Bird positive reviews.

It looks like it will be a winner, even at $37k a copy.
