What is involved in converting a 24 spline C4 to use a 26 spline input shaft? I am in need of a new converter and want to go to the bigger shaft. BTW, any info on Edge Converters would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Exactly what I was looking for... Would it just be better to find a 26 spline and rebuild it?

In part that will depend what you're bolting it up to. Despite total disbelief among M&Mers, I have two post-70 C4s that have different sized bolts from those used to bolt up to a 1968 302. I plan to go with the conversion for that reason alone.

I personally think you should just get a post '70 model C4 and rebuilt it. You could converter your 24 spline unit to 26 spline but it would take a lot of new internals and what's the point. You would still need a core 26 spline trans to rob parts from. ------------------ Ben Grabber Green '70 Mach I 351C 4V Robbin Egg Blue '79 Fairmont 408C 4V, 10.50 127 MPH Prowler Purple '87 T'bird Turbo Coupe
