ive asked questions on a 289 build up before but that was mostly for a stroker. afriend of mine has a 65 stang with a 289 and he doesnt want to do anything to the bottom end no boring or decking, but he wants more power. i suggested 351w heads a cam an intake and a decent carb based on what ive learned from this site . is this a good suggestion?

Heads and cam is of course a good suggestion, but would require the entire package (exhaust/intake/ignition upgrades) to fully realize the power potential. Headers & dual exhaust if he dosen't already have them would be a great place to start, and a deeper rear gear. He's probably got 2.80 gears in it now, maybe go to a 3.89. ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html
