I can't get my accelrator pump correctly adjusted. Its either adjusted where it smoothly acclerates when you easliy go on the gas, or when you stomp it, no in between for normal driving. I guess I need a different spring. I have a stcok 4bbl 289 with a holley 600cfm vacuum secondary carb. I think it has the red spring on there now...its the one that came from the factory. What do you suggest?

Its fine when I hold it at a specific speed. Its fine when I'm accelerating at higher speeds/rpms. It's just stumbling when I'm acclerating from low speeds...like under 20 mph.

Whatever came in the carb...I recently adjusted the idle mixture and some of that stuff, but this problem existed before I ever messed with any of that.

Sound to me to be more of a problem in the squirter size.Pull it and see which one you have.I helped my car by going to a #28 squiter size.
It's almost as smooth at any RPM.
