I finally made it to the track after a 4 month absence from knee surgery. Didn't know what to expect. First pass the motor died at 1000 ft, but fired back up on the return road. Then it hit me, the little switch thats marked fuel pump was still off. I run a Holley mech and a Holley at the tank, the mechanical just can't suck enough. After that everything was normal. Still need to work on the knee more. Was very consistent with three passes 12.3's @ 111.94. Fuel pump was worth .5 sec. Mike

The doc fitted me with a bionic knee brace, steel hinges that squeak like spring peepers and won't clear airport security. My ultimate goal is to get that timeslip that says 11.99, then I back off. To get that last .3 sec off I gotta do some tuning and pick up a few more HP. Trap speeds stayed the same as 4 months ago 111.94. The improvement in ET came from a set of 26x10.5 ET streets. Temp was still hanging around 90 degrees outside so the track conditions weren't the most ideal. I'll get there sooner or later Thanks, Mike

Kcode, Sounds like you're on the fast lane to recovery - wrenchin' has always been good therapy for whatever is ailin' me!Well, when the bionic knee brace goes away, you'll be a few pounds lighter....that'll make ya lighter & faster! Good Luck & have a "speedy" recovery! Ryan
