I got a vacuum gauge and decided to tune my carb to get the best performance and gas mileage, basically just get it adjusted for my engine since it hasn't really been touched since installing it. So I hooked up the vacuum gauge and adjusted the mixture screws by tightening them until the engine studdered, then backing off until I got max vacuum. I got it to about 16 at idle and 20 at like 2000-4000 or something. After I did all this, I shut the engine off, pluged the hole that the vacuum gauge was in and tried to start it. It wouldn't start. I tried and tried, then let it sit, then tried, let it sit....until it eventually cranked up. Whats wrong? Please help me in tuning my carb. Sounds like the float either stuck or the bowl drained all the fuel out on you.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS! Remove one of your sight plugs and see if there is fuel in the bowl.------------------ SCOOP 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html
