Anyone had any problems with these breaking down at 6000+? Mine has had the problem since I changed out the duraspark for the MSD. It starts breaking down anywhere from 6000 to 6300. Any Ideas?Chuck

Chuck could it be the rev control kicking in?------------------ SCOOP 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Chuck,I was having some problems when I first installed my 6AL also. If the rev limiter is in fact kicking in early you can troubleshoot this by removing the chip and see if you still have the miss. Mine started working good with the chip removed. I called MSD and they told me to check my spark plug wires and ensure that the power and ground wires were routed seperately from the dist. wires. I put a new set of wires on and isolated the distributor wires from the power wires and the trouble went away. Hope this helps. If you still have the miss with the chip removed you might want to look at something else. I know you just got the heads but what about the valve springs and idea of what the seat pressure is. Also what are your plugs gapped at? Let us know what you find. ------------------ James 67 Coupe 393W, 4 Speed,
