Yeah Grrrl! Went 5 rounds getting there and she did great. No bye runs, nothing free tonight. Took out a box car dialing 10.38, another dialed 9.21 who broke out at 145 mph. It was a fun, late night of racing. But, the final was hot lapping and the car was too hot and our dial was too optimistic. We dialed a 10.83 he was dialed a 13.79, he had a .04 worse light and ran .01 off his number and Melissa's Stang was .06 off the dial. It was close, w/i .01 at the stripe and both racers were happy with the outcome. He's a good guy that has never won the big trophy. There's always next week. Congratulations Melissa! I think Glens67 did pretty well tonight in the Street class too! Good job Glen, SteveW

Melissa good job 5rounds is not easy. BTW I was talking to guy here n town.He was has an awesome 90 LX with a 427 stocker in it.He runs 300hp N20 too.5spd trans and 4.11 gears. The car sounds great and looks good. He's telling how he's one of the fastest cars in Reno.He said he runs 11.20's at Fallon with the N20.I tell him I know of girls 66 that would have him for lunch. With no bottle. He tells me I'm full of it. So next time your around here, keep your open for a bright orange 90 Mustang.Maybe you can make some side money. ------------------ SCOOP 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Ron,Yeah that is funny, the bottle makes up for altitude. It's like adding your own lower altitude via the n2o. Set him up for a run at Sac Raceway and I'll split the money w/you. SteveW

Great job Melissa! Ron, That's an awful lot of jug to run through an 11.20 car. He'll blow it up at Sac running that much juice through it unless he's good with the tune (don't sound like it), I would think that a Fox Mustang with a 427 should run 10's on the motor. There are dozens of street cars at a Sac grudge night that will eat him alive.

AWESOME!! You and Melissa are really kickin some butt!!So they don't give you guys any cool down period after the 4th round? I assume they only give you 5 minutes between the 4th and 5th round. Erik,The Taurus fan is on the other car, and it works great. No when you get down to just a few cars the rounds happen quickly. SteveW

He's a young cocky guy.I didn't mean to offend him,but when he said he runs 11.20's at Fallon.I said how much faster do you run the bottle. He told that is with the bottle. That car should run a lot faster then that.I thought of Steve and Mel's car. This 90 LX is gutted and runs ET's. He wouldn't tell me what it runs off the bottle.

Congrats you guys..I bet that little hand held computer gizmo was pumping out mucho data.. It's a kick to see that car run.. And,, I want a piece of the action for the Sac Race.. I would love to see that shiny Orange machine go home with his tail between his legs.. Besides,, we'll just have her wink at him just before she puts on her helmet.. He'd need more than a nitrous bottle to keep his cool after that.. Don

We should all meet at Sac this summer. We could have a blast running agaist each other. It would be fun to run you and Don. I'd love to see Butch and Mel run each other too. Maybe SteveW will have the Mopar going by then too. Erik you can finally show Steve why he should have a built a Ford. ------------------ SCOOP 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Great job Melissa.! Scoop, that car is awfully slow for what he claims it has. My bud's 80 fox body still has most of the interior and just on the motor (408W) it runs low low 10's (has gone a best of 10.04 @ 137 mph). I bet he hasn't got near the motor in it he claims he has. Probably a stock stroke windsor. And if it isn't, I wouldn't going around bragging I have to spray it to get it to run that slow, er, I mean fast.

Rob I agree when he said he runs 300hp and only turns 11's. I mean 11's is fast not fast enough for what he says he has.I know Melissa would take him easy.SteveW,Melissa sorry to mess up your post. ------------------ SCOOP 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

It's cool Ron,That guy is not telling the whole story, or else he's hustling people for grudge race money. Now that I think of it, don't bring him to Sac. we aren't interested. Back to bracket racing, the car's actually dialable now with the Cal-Tracs and mono-leaf springs. The sixties stayed between 1.440 and 1.458 all night. Still set up with a soft hit and the 2-step way down at 3,000rpm with the little 10-26 slicks. Everyone was having trouble in the left lane but we ran the same in both lanes. Thanks Alex! SteveW

Steve are you just going to run the car like it for this season? Or do you have more upgrade in store for it? 1.440 60's do you think the car as more in it?

Ron,Sure it does and so does the motor. But, we're bracket racing and looking for repeatability. The timing is backed off to take bottom end power away and the jetting is on the rich side. I'm not going to touch a thing and keep logging runs into the weather station/et predicter. It's also running mufflers and ballast weight. All to make it do the same thing every run. New best ets will wait until winter when the air is better anyway. Ever wonder why some bracket cars look like they can run 9's and only run 11's? SteveW

I understand you need the car to be consistent. Steve I know what you mean,my car looks like it should run 12's and only runs 14's.
