I went racing yesterday. The last pass I made in the car was May 26, and it ran 6.349. My first pass yesterday was 6.347 with a 1.346 60' time. My second pass the autostart on teh tree was messed up and I sat on the chip for close to 4 seconds putting all kinds of heat in the convertor, and it ran 6.332. Throw that one out. The car likes more heat in the convertor, makes it go faster. First round of elims, 1.346 60' time, 6.347, and I got the "W". Second round of elims, 1.349 60', 6.347, and again I got the "W". Third round of elims, the humidity was up, 1.345 60', 6.351, but my .503 light ensured another "W". Fourth round, it got relatively dark. I put .003 in the box just because of the .503 light, and was going to put another .002 in it to make it an even .005. But then I lost lane choice and got stuck in the left lane. I'm normally about .002 slower on the tree in the left lane so I decided not to put the extra time in the box, result; .499. The real kicker is, the guy I raced had motor problems and ran a full tenth off his dial in. If I would have been green (even a .550 light), I would have won the round. I went over and asked him if he lifted. He replied "no" and that the car had been slowing down every pass. I believed him as they were thrashing to pull the valvecovers before the next round. As i was standing there, they found 2 rockers that were extremely loose, and one they said they had been tightening up after every pass. Darn, better luck next time I guess. The good thing is, the car runs deadly consistant, I got a little cash back, gained a few points, and most importantly, gained some confidence back.

Sounds like a HE!!VA day, KV!! If I were you, I'd be tickled pink with those times as well! You can better believe the competition was also paying attention to your awesome times - and they were hoping they don't have to line up against ya! To top things off, you didn't break anything! Keep up the good work & send a few more BOWTIE BOYS home early again next weekend! Ryan

Good Job KV Alot of cars go faster with more heat in the convertor, up to a point. BTW, my car works better than the driver too and I haven't even begun to try to be consistant yet. keep up the good work. JS

A good driver will always make the car better, that is why you are consistent. Congrats KVJOHN ------------------ 65 2+2 FASTBACK 87 TAURUS WAGON 98 F150 XLT TRITON V8 4.6, 4 WHEEL DRIVE Member:Vancouver Island Mustang Association M&M #1710 MyPhotoPage MY TRUCK

Taking alittle cash home is always good. Sounds like both you and your car are dailed in. Now if you ever get out here maybe you can teach me few things about driving.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html
