I have 14 at idle, Vacuum pluged I have 28 @2500 32@3000 36@3500With vacuun line hooked up I have, 44@3000 My car seems to be alittle slowler at low rpms. But picks up nice aboue 3000rpm. So what should I do next. Do I need to take the dist, out to change the weights.Or can I do it while it's in te car? I think a total of 36-38 all in by 2500rpm would be better. The new duraspark system is alot more slow to get to full advance. But the car runs and starts GREAT now. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Most times you can get by with just getting the Mr Gasket spring kit to change the curve.Probably best to do it the first time with the dizzy out of the car.....

Ron,Yes it's ok for a street car. Lose the vacumm, and put lighter srings in it. You'll have to pull the dist. to change the springs. While you're at it use the smallest advance slots. If I remember right they are 12 degrees, which is 24 degrees at the crank. So 12 degrees initial will be (+24) 36 degrees total. SteveW

Steve I'll pull the dist the first chance I get.I'll see what weights and spring are in there now.I let you know what it has now,and see what you'd do next. Does a street car drive different without the vacuum advance hooked up? Do I want it all in by 2500rpm or 3000rpm? ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Hey Scoop, it's ok to run without vacuum. All my ports are plugged and i've got it set to 36@3000. I go deaf revving the motor to 3000 and turning the distributor. Erik ------------------ 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Mine - Restomod in Progress 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe Dad's - Original Unrestored
