Trust me,, when that coupe comes up to the line,, it gets alot of attention.. and it's not just because Melissa is driving.. The coupe kicks butt.. ------------------ Don '66 Fastback 302 with 5 speed Royal Blue Metallic w/Ghost Flames "If you put Brake Fluid in Paint,, Will it stop it from Running..

Yes Mike,Bottom hole, no preload, and shocks set at a loose 1L, 2R. We'll try tightening things up when/if we get a good track prep this weekend. That pic was with worn out slicks too. Got new shoes on the back now. What's nice about them is that you can loosen up the adjustments so it will hook on a marginal track. If the track is good you can tighten up the shocks and pull big wheelies. SteveW

GREAT LAUNCHING 'STANG, STEVEW!!

WOW! NO PRELOAD! That's surprising; 'cause most folks run with some preload; but then most folks (like me) also have steel multi-leafs!
-- So does your cross-bolt & the top side of the main leaf 'touch' or do you have a measurable air gap on each side? -- Are both sides adjusted the same? Ryan

Ryan,They have a air gap the thickness of a quarter (the coin). Both sides are adjusted the same with the driver in the car on level ground. Guess who taught me that? Thanks for the comments everyone. We'll have some new best times this weekend, I hope. Get to drop the exhaust system for the race on Saturday. SteveW

The glass springs and cal tracs are available through Alex (MoneyMakerRacing). The springs need to be modified for the cal-tracs, and Alex can handle that for you. Your Mach could be in the mid 10's with these. SteveW

If you put big tires on it, it will do that all the time.

Rob Yeah but, Cutting this car up isn't an option, it was handed down through the family from her grandfather. His dog tags are hanging from the rearview mirror and he's "riding along" on every pass. If someone doesn't want to tub their car, this is the next best thing. SteveW BTW, That pic was taken on a poor track with soft settings and worn out little slicks. It will do that (at least) everytime. Big slicks and ladder bars are an option, but the car is 60'ing better than a lot of big tired tubbed/ladder bar'd cars at the same Wednesday night track. Down 5-6 degrees, would have liked 4 degrees but was too lazy to re-shim it for the little difference. I have the steel shims, but we;ll see whether or not I install them. I'll let you know,SteveW
