My buddy has a set on his 408W. It runs pretty good but those heads are the limiting factor on a motor that size. It runs low 6.40's 1/8 and around 10 flat 1/4 shifting at 6000 rpm with a 4.11 gear and 28x10 slicks. One ignorant jerk from Fordmuscle ridiculed it since it was a 408 and "only" running 10 flat.

He did some port work on his heads, and they do flow pretty good (310 cfm int/210 cfm exh), and would work real well on a motor that wasn't as large as his. (On a 351 or a 302 they would be killer).

Ya know..... we could always tow your race car up to Budds Creek and go squirrel hunting if it would make you feel better

It's only a little over an hour from my place.

A 400lb driver it shouldn't run much slower with your extra weight in it.

Tell me more about the car,how much what else does it have, are going to race both?
Do you need someone to run the new car.

Rob guys like that have KNOW idea what it takes to run 14's let alone 10's.
Cruise night racers I run into them all the time.Your car has a 351w in it and you only run high 14's.

Mike, depending on how radical that 306 is, those heads might actually be a little too big for it (unless he's turning it 7500 rpm). If the car is cheap enough, they are good heads.

He sure did. Enough so that I stopped going to that over rated site. I would hate to show up at his track and find out that isn't really his car. Or that it isn't as fast as he bragged it was.

He "claims" he has a 302 that runs high 10's. Given the way he handled himself on that site, my guess is it's really his daddy's car.
