Now thats the way a car should start. It sat for 3days and turned over on the first crank. Idle is lot more smooth. And it does not seem to miss at idle or above 4500rpm anymore YET. I only had a short drive in it.Two questions, 1.Since I hooked up the new MSD coil and Ford box.My volts run alittle lower then before.Does the stock Ford box draw enough to change that reading? 2.My car smells rich at cold start up(NO CHOKE). Also lets out alittle smoke if you jump on it. Should I jet down both sides or just the front or not at all? Good to hear your ignition worked out for you but can't answer your question on volts. The carb question is more a case of accelerator pump than jets I think if it only smokes (black?) for a short spell after jumping on it. Try reducing squirter size and see if it cleans up. Blue is oil smoke usually. I would still try reducing the accel. pump squirter. Is the engine in good condition or high miles? How are you seeing the smoke? I am usually too busy looking where I am going! Cheers, Martin.

Martin if I'm stopped I can get to do it.High miles motor, yea it could be oil smoke. But it did seem to get worst after I adjusted the pump rod. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Before I went to get lunch.I lowered the floats alittle more.It seems to be driving better. Still seems like theres more there.I just need to find it. The plugs have grey on the 1st two threads. But the car seems rich to me? ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

The accelerator pump is a transient circuit, ie, it is momentary and does not last. It will not colour the plugs due to it's brief activity. I would ignore plug colour anyway for low speed driving and tune it on the mixture screws to get good drivability. As you said, there is more tuning to do maybe, but that's half the fun! Cheers, Martin.
