I have a performer 289 that I was going to put on the new motor, but everyone brags about how great the weiand stealth intake is. They claim to be good from idle to 6800 rpm. Has anyone run one of these, any opinions on which one to use would be great.

I think the RPM intake would be better.

I've run the stealth on a 351w and really liked it and I would use it again. I haven't tried it on a 289 or 302 though.

Why don't you like about them Alex, I am so confused right now! The decissions that have to be made when building a new motor!

I think you are talking about the RPM performer not just the performer because there is a large difference between the two. I have the RPM performer on my 289 and I am really happy with it. Ran 13.3 @99.77 mph with a mild rebuild in my 1966 fastback.
