It started last week.It only does it when the car is warm.I cleaned out the needle seats.I watched and could not see anything leaking. It seems to only happen when the car is warmed up.And only at idle so far.I can't find any vacuum leaks.Expect that the throtle shafts both front and back get alittle wet.So I think they are leaking? But if I spray carb clean or WD on them it does change anything? The idle will jump 100-200 rpm down. And bounce right back, the car runs fine other ways. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

Ron, Just a thought and I am sure that the guys on here with more and better experience than I have will really get it figured out for you, but is your idle circuit leaking down on you ? You may also want to look at your ignition system especially your coil. I had one start to go bad on me on my 68 before I sold it and it caused this exact problem that you are describing. Just my .02, hope you get it figured out quickly. JOHN

Ok to make things worst. It only does it once in while. It will act up and I can't get it to stop and other times I can't get it to it. I do notice if I'm cruising real slow for some time. Then get on it alittle it you can smell gas.And alittle lite blue smoke will come out the pipes too. The plugs look great so I don't think it's running rich. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

RON, The coil that went out on me was also a pertronix coil and it was only in for about four months . So just before I sold the 68 I put in a stock ford coil and put in points and condenser, car didn,t miss a beat after that. JOHN

Todd a #35 squirter and a 6.5 power valve.I might try and change the power and see if that helps. It did something like this once before.ANd it was a power valve. But then it was surging at cruise speed too. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html
