I have the stock rocker arms now...not sure what ratio. If I upgraded to a 1.7:1 rocker arms, how much hp would I gain? Would my powerband change any?

my opinion, and you know about them!! lol
i think you would get a lot more hp out of a decent camshaft and would not spend 1/2 the money. good luck

I know the camshaft itself is cheaper, but after installation, valve springs, lifters, retainers....it adds up. Just wondering if rocker arms would come close to a cam in power increase.

There is no good answer to your question. Nobody can tell you that you will get XX horse power from rocker arms. The truth it you could gain a few HP or none at all. The thing you have to ask yourself is, is it the right thing to do. My opinion. Yes! A good quality roller rocker will be better for your valve train. They should last for a long time. They are more accurate in ratio. Less friction. You can't really go wrong, even with the stock ratio. The only thing that hurts is your wallet.

Will you get as much power as a cam change? No. Very doubtful.
Just my opinion.

Are you saying it will lower my redline? I dont know if the redline really has anything to do with it, but wouldn't that hurt power rather than help it?
