For the first time today I drove my car. With the leafs I got from SteveW.When I left hard from a stop it pulls hard left and then right.I added the leafs with the clamps on them two in front and one in the rear half of the leaf.I did also change my lift bars to one spacer per side.I was running them with no spacers. But they were starting to dig into the frame. The ride is fine alittle firm but not bad at all.But the car does lean more them ever to the passenger side. It's about 1.5 lower on that side. How can I tell if it's the front or rear springs making it do that.I only have 20psi in each air shock.I was thinking of pumping up the lower side to 50psi to try and level out the car.

You can do that to even it out, but it is only a band-aid to what the problem is. I am only guessing but it sounds like a spring collapsed on you.

John you thinking it's one of the front springs?
Thats kinda what I'm thinking it is.I know it's not the rear leafs. But it could be a twisted or bent frame.

Hey Scoop, is the front seem lower than the back on the passenger side? If the front spring was the problem it would make sense that the front on that side would be the low point. I remember you said that you didn't notice the height difference on the right and left sides until you put your new springs on. Seems too coincidental doesn't it? You might want to check and make sure the rear shackles are on ok and also check the right front suspension especially your spring perch. You can get a real good look in that area if you jack up the front and take off the wheel. Are the u-bolts tight on the rear passenger side? Too bad you're so far away up there in good old Reno. If it turns out the rear spring is causing the problem, and you ever come south down 395, I have a pair of big block rear springs you can have off my 69 stang which weren't used hardly at all-just held the car up in storage for awhile. I took them off because I decided to try the Calvert monoleafs.

Thanks for the offer that real nice of you.Theses leafs seem weren't used for long. The car has always leaned to the right. But with the new leafs being alot more stiff the air shocks can't seem to make up the difference as much as before. The right front is lower as well.I thought all along it was do to the rear leafs. Now I think it's the front the coils. When I put the new 90-10 shocks on I took out some coil spacers some one had put in.After that I really noticed the car leaned to the right.

Ok so do you all think new coils would solve it ?
If so what coils should I go with, and whats the least expensive coils out there?
I pumped up the right air shock to 90psi and the left to 20psi and that helped alittle.I have new bushing in the shackles and leaf eyes too.

Thanks for help to all.

Scoop, were the spacers on only the right front spring or were there more of them on the right? I'm assuming they were the type that you can slip into the coils of the springs that are either aluminum or rubber? If the leaning started after you took them out I think you solved your problem. I don't know how much springs cost from your local parts place if you can get them there. I bought coils before from some Mustang parts place on the web. I can't recall which one. The standard coils usually start at about $50 or so. Places like www.ponycarstore.com, www.americanpony.com, etc seem to carry your coils at about that price. A lot of these places get you on the shipping though. Hope you get this fixed soon. Can't have you fishtailing all over Reno.

I'm sorry I'm not stating this very well. The car has always leaned from the day I got it.Does lean more after I removed the spacers and added the new front shocks and rear leafs.
The right front has always been lower the other side. All along I was thinking it was the rear pulling it down. But now I know better.
Yes the spacer were on both sides one on each side. They were the wedge bolt in type. The only reason I took them out.Is they were diggin into the shocks.
I think I may try to put a spacer only on the right side coil. And what that does.
I think Alex once said he uses Moog model 800?coil
I can;t rember the rest of number.

I put an one inch coil spacer on the right coil only.It helped to lever at the rear of the car alot.
It also raised both sides of the front end?
I did not expect one spacer on the right side only to raise the left side too.
The car rides and turns better then before.
So how long can I use the spacer. And what front spring should I get when I can get some.

The new leafs are working real good Steve. The car rides great, and does not sag like before.

It does pull to the passengers side now from a stop.
Does that mean I should put alittle more in the driver side shock?
It used to leave real straight.

The front sits about 1.5" taller then before.I like the looks alot,it's no gaser look yet.
