Well i finally got the carb rebuilt and installed the spacer.First thing i noticed is i had to go up on the squirters from 28 f&b to 31's.At an idle i can really hear it drawing air threw the carb now.Ok now for a test cruise, drives around very nice so i go to a secluded street(sort of)and decide to turn it loose a little..WOW from a dead idle it had a little stumble no big then it went sideways and proceeded to turn the bfg's in to smoking messes. It would do that before but then lay down some as they would bite now it just pulls and as i went to shift at 6000 as always it seems to pull harder and wants to go higher but i covered more ground then i expected and got out of it.More things yet to do but i like to see what every little change does and thanks to You guys im headed in the right direction
Thanks Alex
Dennis

Dennis,

Very cool

It's always nice to have people who've been there and done that isn't it.

I don't have any room for spacers under the '66s hood or I'd try it too.
