so the trans is a c6?

Yes, but I cannot give you an exact application because this servo cover was a common piece. The trans has a one piece bell and main case?

the trans has a two peice bell and the trans pan looks like a c4 pan and has 11 bolts not 17 like the c6.what do you think?

 I think I made a very large mistake and a$$-u-med something when I shouldn't have. It is a C4. Sorry... Do you need a close application? (Getting hard to find qualified help around here...sheesh)

i just want to know if the trans is a 24 spline or a 26 spline?

They went to 26 in the 70's.I know the truck or van C4 was what my trans guy used.he said they were the most HD stock C4 out there.I could be wrong but I think your trans is an early model. ------------------
