how much better would the idle be with a cam with about 248/252 @.050 in a 396/408 as apposed to a 347 with the same cam?[This message has been edited by two89w (edited 04-10-2003).]

The way I understand it from I've read. Cams are all messured based on a 350 engine.So the same cam in a small motor acts like a larger duration cam,and for larger motors they work like a smaller cam.I read that a cam thats about a 220 duration @ .050 in a 289 motor would be like a 200 cam in a 351w.
