Steeve How he did last night... On the first time run I ran a 12.37 at 109.69 5.20 light
next time run a 12.35 at 109.62 5.33 light both runs into a heavy head wind. Then dialed a 12.34 and right after the launch the engin shut off. coasted a little as I moved the car to the K wall attempted to restart motor turned kinda wanted to catch but didn't. waited about 30 seconds then it fired and ran ok down the track. car dided again on the way home but started again seem to just turn off under hard excelleration. It died again on 37 at the weigh station but started again. I drove home very easy and no problem. I'm going to look for a loose wire tonight. No it is not the loose nut behind the wheel ------------------ Glen 67 GT 390 65 Galaxie 500 XL 4 Speed It was not a Red Light they gave me a Slow Tree I WAS NOT LATE the Tree was Fast

Awe shucks guys, it was nothing. I just ran a .500 light and my number with a 1 on my first elimination round in my big Ford truck. After that I went home, didn't think I could top that. Next week Glen and I will have a little fun in street class. SteveW

I was there watching last night, not racing. There was a black Z06 Corvette that hit the wall on the left lane, I felt sorry for the owner.

Well my first time run was a .520 going in a couple inches past deep, the next was a .543 going only an inch past deep, and the third was a shallow deep and resulted in a .569 light. So when eliminations came I decided I was going home win or loose so I staged it a couple inches deep and stalled it up a little higher, about 1800 instead of 1500. I left clean and was listening to the announcer on the radio. While I was blazing down the track (on my way to a 18.20 LOL) The announcer said "Steve Westerman just ... no wait I'll tell you later" So I had my left mirror set to see the left lane which had a black Ford Lightning coming on "fast" in it. As I/we approched the stripe I lifted and he still didn't catch me but he did pass me about a foot after. My win light came on and the announcer began raving about me and my light and package. It was pretty cool. Thanks for caring. He broke out by .2 trying to catch me, and his light was a .756 but who knew at the time. SteveW p.s. The stang is coming along and should be better than ever in a couple weeks.

Two seasons ago, there were about 5 guys from my work that would go to TnT night faithfully. We would compete between ourselves for the "Best RT". One of the fellas converted an old golf trophy with a car on top and a plaque at the bottom that read, "Reaction Time is Everything". Whoever pulled the quickest RT (or in a tie, two quickest RTs) would get to take the trophy and display it at their work bench for the week. It didn't matter if you ran a pickup truck, bike, motorhome, or race car. Everyone had the same chance of winning - it was fun for everyone!Ryan

I friend of mine wins in footbrake all the time ,he's been at it so long he knows when to leave by the shade (tint) of the last amber , That is when it reaches a certain level of brightness ,he takes off .Cuts 5oh lights with regularity. My cuz ran three 96s (6.96) in a row last year with his new motor .One of his fiercest competitors said ,and I qoute , "he'll kill us with that new motor" so thats what we're gonna try to do this season , races start saturday!!!
